Bonfire: Custom Typeface and Poster
Custom font and poster created using a combination of physical and digital processes.
Font in Use
Childish Gambino Poster
Altering the color, size and stroke of the letters, I used my custom typeface to create a poster featuring lyrics of rap artist Childish Gambino.
Process
I began by carving different textures into multiple sides of an eraser. I then dipped the eraser in ink, using it as a stamp to create the building blocks for my letters
I scanned the building blocks into Adobe Illustrator and converted them into vector shapes. I then assembled the building blocks into each letter of the alphabet.
